It is never too early to start reading to your child! Hearing stories read aloud is a crucial step on the path to reading, and storytime at the library can help! In addition to building vocabulary, imagination, and creativity, storytime reinforces concepts you teach at home, such as the alphabet, counting, colors, and shapes. Since it is a group setting, it also helps your child build skills such as listening, concentration, and socialization. In addition to reading stories, we also sing, do rhymes, and use other means of telling stories such as felt boards, puppets, and acting things out. https://www.scottsbluff.org/departments/library/
